Folks,   We have been requested to provide 6 stewards for the parade on the Friday Night 3rd July. 160 teams participating.   Stewards are asked to report to St. Conleths at 5pm where they will collect their Bib and be allocated their position on the parade route.   Stewards Criteria:   Male/Female over 18 years of age.   Parade will leave St. Conleths 7pm headed by a Colour Party followed by Artane Band.   There are 10 bands due to take part in the parade and there will be street entertainment along the parade route.   So can I ask for volunteers to identify themselves to me.   PH. 0862479117    John    ----

Report to TMH GAA Committee from Feile 2009 Subcommittee.

Feile is taking place in Kildare on the Friday 3rd Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July and TMH GAA has been selected as a host club. Each Team will play a minimum of 3 Matches,

Friday 3pm         Saturday 9.30 and 12.00 noon

We are hosting Maynooth 1, St. Enda’s Omagh and St. Bronagh’s Rostrevor (Feile Champions of their respective counties). A draft itinerary has been prepared (See attached) and we have a number of items that need to be addressed in the lead up to the July weekend.

Club Premises and Grounds.

We need to organise a clean up of the premises as we are now hosting an additional 3 teams all dressing rooms need to be available.

Toilet facilities need to be brought up to spec and we also need to have each dressing room locked during matches and also if possible have member of the club to act as concierge over the weekend.

A tidy up of the grounds needs to be organised say Saturday 20th or Saturday 27th by the latest. Grass will also need to be cut for the pitch.

Umpires/ Linesmen.

We are also looking for umpires/linesmen for our games. We also propose to provide the umpires with white coats.

Child Welfare Officer.

Training is being carried out in Naas GAA on Monday 8th June at 7.30pm. Joan Keogh Clarke and John Murphy are attending on behalf of TMH GAA.

Feile Parade.

All Teams must be in St. Conleth’s Park by 6pm

The Féile Parade will leave County Grounds, Newbridge.

Each Team should carry their Club Banner and dress in Club colours.

Teams to march 4-a-breast in parade with Team Captain in front row on left.

Team Manager, front left, & a Mentor to carry Club Banner – other Mentors to parade behind their Teams.

Parade will travel along Main Street, pass Review Stand, along Edward Street, onto Standhouse Road and conclude in Cill Mhuire grounds. Teams will leave from here for various venues.

We have been asked to provide 6 stewards for this event.

Also we may have to consider the provision of a bus for our team to get over and back from Newbridge. We have asked St. Bronagh’s if they will have spare capacity on their bus to help us out.

First Aid.

First Aid:

 -  First Aid Kit to be available at all Féile venues.

 -  Have contact details for local Doctor, Defibrillator person and nearest Hospital.

-   Know which hospitals cater for Under 14 year olds.

-   It is up to each individual club to organise their own First Aid training courses should they be required.

Host Families.

We are asked to host 24 players and 4 Team Mentors. We have a request from St. Bronaghs to Host 4 Couples. We will clarify if there is a misunderstanding on their part about this.

Provision of Food and Refreshments for Teams and Guests.

On Friday 3rd we are going to provide a meal for the Teams before they go to the parade in Newbridge. Joan Keogh Clarke has agreed to source a supplier with a budget of €500.

We also want to discuss the provision of a shop, on the Saturday, providing sandwiches, Tea/Coffee sweets etc for visitors.

We may also have to consider supplying another meal to the teams as there is nothing planned after the last match at 12.noon

Club Pennant.

We also propose to present to the 3 visiting teams a club pennant marking the occasion of their visit to TMH during the Feile.
